Ways to support the Humanist cause

The society that we live in is dominated by long-established religious organisations which have the weight of tradition and privilege on their side. Thus religious beliefs are drummed into children throughout their school years and broadcasters are required by law to provide religious programmes. Likewise, there are bishops in the House of Lords and religious representatives have special audiences with the Government.

Humanism has none of those advantages and the struggle to advance a rational, naturalistic, Humanist viewpoint is all up-hill. That is why we need all the solidarity and support that we can muster. Campaigning demands time, effort and money. Without them, there will be no progress.

There are three different ways to support the cause:

    1. Join the Group as a Full Member (minimum subscription £10 waged/£5 unwaged) and attend the meetings.
    2. Join the Group as a Supporter (minimum subscription as above) and receive news of events/meetings via e-mail or post.
    3. Make a donation to the Group. Every donation helps.

Cheques should be made payable to "Belfast Humanist Group" and sent to The Treasurer, Ms P Bartlett, 7 Coates Gardens, Carrickfergus  BT38 7XA.

Thank you for your support
